How It Was Invented

Chester Greenwood, born in Maine in 1858. Ice Skating and wind is brutal on ears, in winter back then. He was an American engineer and inventor. He is also credited with the invention of the wide-bottom kettle, a folding bed, a decoy mouse trip, a donut hook, shock absorber design and airplane landing gear that are still used to this day. He invented the earmuffs in 1873.

Earmuffs keep our ears warm and toasty. This invention helps our ears warm while it is cold and brutal. Ear muffs hearing protection devices that are worn over the head, like headphones.hey work to block out noise by completely covering the outer ear.

Blue Jeans👖(Lesson 112)

How It Was Invented

Levi Strauss, born in Germany in 1829. His family entered dry goods business. He moved to San Francisco during Gold Rush. When he moved he saw hardworking people, and wanted to help. He invented blue jeans in 1873. Levi gave a lot of his money to charity to help out poor people and orphans.

Function and Benefits

Blue jeans are stronger than most pants. There were worn when people worked under ground, so the pants won’t get ripped. The blue jeans had pockets, so they could hold a watch. The blue color makes it easily identifiable as workwear. Levi built a factory for blue jeans in 1853. Levi built 113 in 17 different counties🤯! Levi died in 1902.

Fire Sprinkler Head 🚿(Lesson 113)

How It Was Invented

Henry Parmelee born in Ohio on 1846. He owned a piano factory, he was a piano maker. He took the idea of Sir Hiram Maxim and then invented the second automatic fire sprinkler system in 1874. He is credited with the first automated sprinkler head.

Function and benefits

Fire sprinklers active automatically when detect heat. When It detects heat it will sprinkle out water, leaving no fire or heat behind. Home fire sprinklers are of the quick- response type which means they are designed to save lives. They are know for being quick and saving lives.

Dental Drill ✒️(Lesson 114)

How It Was Invented.

 George F. Green was born in 1830. George was a dentist, but it was really hard being one. There was no tools to get a filling, so it was very hard. Till George F. Green invented the dental drill in 1875.

Function and benefits

It helped give fillings. It is also for polishing fillings, performing cosmetic dentistry, and altering prostheses. It goes at high speeds, so it can go though your teeth without you knowing it. It goes though your cavity, so you can get a filling.
